With reference to your letter of the 25th ultimo, I have the honour, by direction of the Officer Administering the Government, to inform you that it is not disposed to pursue such action as is referred to in your letter until a reply is received from the Secretary of State in the case of Feung Yuen.
Pending the result of proceedings in the Supreme Court, a communication has been forwarded to the Secretary of State. The result of that communication will ultimately determine the action which the Governor may take in the matter.
